British High Commission, Malaysia teamed up with British companies iBoardTouch, Howarth & Co and NTAR to provide a compelling education technology experience within the World Skills UK Pavilion.
iBoardTouch partnered with Howarth & Co and NTAR, to showcase NTAR’s virtual reality training system using iBoardTouch i75 V Series hardware. In another area of the UK Pavilion iBoardTouch set up a second i75 iBoardTouch unit to demonstrate its front-of-class digital classroom solution.
Deputy High Commissioner, Paul Rennie OBE said, “We attended World Skills ASEAN to promote UK TVET and feature some of our leading players in the sector. In ASEAN and across the world our UK higher education offer is seen as world class but the UK isn’t held in the same high esteem for TVET. Our attendance at the Expo and accompanying Conference went a long way to correcting this incorrect misperception. We were particularly pleased to have the support of iBoardTouch to showcase how leading British technology is used in TVET, which was a great draw to our UK Pavilion.”
Howarth & Co’s CEO , Gil Howarth said “The Great Britain stand at the Malaysian National Skills Carnival & Expo has been inundated with young people from all over the ASEAN region, who have greatly enjoyed the National Training Academy for Rail’s virtual reality experience and the iBoardTouch technology demonstrations. We are also very grateful to the support we have received from Balfour Beatty Rail, CH2M and Colas Rail.”
